About Teknikio:
Our mission is to turn dreamers into inventors.
Teknikio began as a research project in 2012, when founder Sibel Deren Guler received a research grant to create a girl-centric, craft-oriented electronics toolkit. She saw that many toys relating to electronics are gender-coded for boys, excluding a large population of future inventors, makers, scientists, and engineers.
Teknikio launched as a line of retail products in 2016. Now, we have a library of components, kits, and educator bundles designed to help people of all ages explore the intersection of design, technology, and play. Our products are gender-neutral and accessible across levels of technical proficiency.
All of our electronics components are designed to be lightweight, low-power and easy to embed into everyday materials, so that you can easily design and reimagine your world.
