Weaving Workshop: Cotton Towels, October 2 & 9, 2019
Wednesday October 2 & 9
5:30 - 8:30 pm
Students will learn the basics of weaving on a rigid heddle loom. We will direct warp the hounds tooth pattern on a rigid heddle loom the first week (3 hour class). Then students will take the loom home for the week and weave 1 or 2 cotton kitchen towels on their own. Come back week #2 and finish up your project and show them off! Cotton worsted weight yarn (enough for 2 towels) and rigid heddle looms are provided so you can try before you buy your own! These portable looms allow you to create on the go!
Students should bring scissors and a measuring tape. Taught by Anne Sammons of Leaf Livestock Wool Company.
The class size is limited to 5 people. Grab a spot while you can!
